Does the product support databases other than Access?
Yes. Currently we provide support for SQL Server (6.5 and 7.0) and SQL Anywhere.
Starting with Version 2.2 we have created a new internal data interface that should allow us to
port other database engines without making software changes. If you
require ZeroDefect to run on another engine please contact us for
details.
Can I add my own reports into ZeroDefect?
Yes. ZeroDefect uses Crystal Reports 8.5 You can create any additional reports that you]
need and then with some minor changes to the database have them included as a standard report.
What do I get with annual support and how much does it cost
With our annual support you get free upgrades to the product and free telephone support.
The cost is 15% of your total purchase price.
Can I use my windows login ID and password to get into ZeroDefect?
Yes. ZeroDefect supports Pass through login. You still have to define users within ZeroDefect but
you no longer have to keep separate passwords.
I have two different areas of the company that want to use ZeroDefect. Can I create
multiple databases with different options and dropdown lists?
Yes. ZeroDefect supports multiple databases. Also you can restrict who is allowed
to log in to each database.
